Grove Resort and Spa Orlando FL review

The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando is a beautiful 106-acre resort destination located just six miles from Walt Disney World® Theme Parks and close to so many Orlando, Florida family attractions. Grove Resort and Water Park is sitting on the beautiful and calm Lake Austin and amid a portion of Central Florida’s conservation grounds, The Grove is a sanctuary from the craziness of Orlando while being so close to it all. Whether you are arriving at the Grove Resort and Water Park for total relaxation and a place to recharge or need a beautiful place for your family to stay while having fun in Orlando your family will love the grounds and amenities and not want to leave!

Where is Grove Resort and Spa?

Grove Resort and Spa is located at 14501 Grove Resort Ave, Winter Garden, FL 34787. Even though The Grove Resort and Spa is tucked away and feels serene and quiet by Lake Austin, it is convenient to so many of Orlando’s best attractions, restaurants and experiences.

What Ammenities Does Grove Resort have on property?

Guests can enjoy SO many amazing amenities geared towards families on-site. This list has a comprehensive review of the top amenities that my family enjoyed while staying on Grove Resort property.

Grove Resort and Spa in Orlando, Florida is set up for families to stay and be able to spread out and enjoy the time in the suite.

As guests at Grove Resort and Spa, you can book the 2-bedroom suite or the 3-bedroom suite. Our family stayed in the 2-bedroom suite which was perfectly spacious for our family of 5.

All suites have a king bed in the master bedroom.

Each kitchen comes equipped with: salad serving bowl, pot holders, mixing bowl, wine/bottle opener, can opener, colander, cutting board, ice bucket, ice cream scoop, knife set, ladle, measuring cup, spatula, pizza cutter, pot & pan set (3 pots with lids and a saute pan with lid), peeler, salad tongs, solid serving spoon, slotted serving spoon, Wastebasket, whisk, dish cleaning supplies. The Grove Resort standard view overlooks a natural resort landscape or Courtyard Fountain. The superior view overlooks either Lake Austin, The Springs Pools, Surfari Water Park or lagoons. We have small children and having the balcony overlooking the Surfari Water Park was really fun and exciting for them!

What is Included in the Suite?

The two bedroom suite can fit 6 people. It has a fully equipped kitchen, full size washer and dryer, separate living and dining area, 2 full bathrooms, 2 separate bedrooms on opposite sides of the suite, and a balcony. How Much Does it Cost to Stay at the Grove Resort?

The suite cost varies slightly based on what type of view you would like but on average 209-229$ a night before fees for a two-bedroom suite and 309-339$ before fees per night on the three-bedroom suite on non summer / peak season stays.

The same rooms during summer increase slightly to 299$ for a two-bedroom. After visiting in person though, even at the increased rate the suite is more than worth it. For the amount of space you are getting and the updated appliances and furnishings, I cannot believe the suites are as affordable as they are.

What are the Dining Options on Resort Property?

There are four dining options while on resort property. While my family stayed on the resort property, we ate meals at all of these restaurants and were very pleased with the service and food.

Alfresco Market at Grove Resort

We went to the Alfresco Market at Grove Resort at least 20 times while there. You can stock the kitchen with food and snacks, grab wine or other adult beverages to take to the room, snag essentials like wipes, laundry detergent or other household items you forgot at home, and get delicious food!

Beside the Alfresco Market is also a shop with souvenirs, pool items, Lilly Pulitzer items and really cute gifts to take home to friends and family post trip to Grove Resort.

Valencia Restaurant at Grove Resort

Breakfast features a full buffet filled with traditional breakfast favorites if you are not in the mood to cook on vacation. Valencia is open for breakfast lunch and dinner and is a guest favorite restaurant.

Longboard Bar & Grill

We ate many a snacks and meals and had our fill of beverages at the Longboard Bar and Grill while inside of the Surfari Water Park. Guests can enjoy delicious food in our open-air seating area, at the bar, or poolside around Surfari Water Park.  There are staff who walk around the water park taking drink orders as well which was really nice.

Longboard Bar & Grill features a variety of beer on tap including, Big Wave Lager and Kahuna Ale. Guests are invited to enjoy real-pit BBQ, burgers, wings and more. Our sandwiches were delicious and we all loved our experience with the staff and meals there.

The Springs Bar & Grill

This was a great poolside option for us while the kids were swimming. Its located right outside of the main pools and has such a cool vibe. The food comes from the Valencia restaurant and we enjoyed our nachos and burgers and the kids liked the kid friendly options.

How Big Is the Resort?

BIG! The Grove Resort and Spa maps given at check in will be really helpful. The buildings are all lettered which helps but it can be a bit confusing if you dont have the map with you at the beginning of the stay. You can also take the outside paths as well instead of walking through the interconnected resort buildings.

Tips for Traveling to Grove Resort with Young Children

I would definitely recommend staying in Building 3 if you are traveling with small children. This gives you the option to have a view of the Surfari water park and be close to the arcade and mini golf as well as the entrance to the Surfari Water Park. Less walking for tired little bodies at the end of a long day of fun makes it easier for parents.

Is it Easy to Navigate Grove Resort with a Stroller?

Yes, do not hesitate to bring and use a stroller at Grove Resort. The outside paths and resort are perfect to stroll a small child and get in a walk! The entire resort is set up to be family friendly and accommodating for families even with small children.

No, however the entire resort is a playground. There are sandy areas under palm trees that I saw many young children digging and playing in. There is a splash area for young children at the main resort pool in addition to the Surfari Water Park.

No, highchairs and bed rails are not provided for guests at Grove Resort during the stay. Pool noodles under the side of the sheets on either side of the bed work wonders for keeping toddlers from rolling out! You can also rent these items from a local company that delivers to resort property for you KM rentals.
