Soaky Mountain Waterpark in Sevierville TN

Soaky Mountain Water Park is a relatively new waterpark in Tennessee that opened in 2020 and has been a splashing good time for the entire family since.  The 50-acre Waterpark creates a memorable experience and is a lot of fun thanks to the endless slides, obstacle courses, a massive splash area, wave pool, surf rider, and more than 19 other family friendly attractions. My family was staying across the street at Wilderness Resorts and wanted to take advantage of being so close to Soaky Mountain Waterpark. We had the most amazing experience at the 50-acre park Soaky Mountain Waterpark and cannot wait to go back next time we are in the Seiverville, TN area!

What are the Must Do Attractions and Family Rides at Soaky Mountain Waterpark?

The Hive The Hive is the ultimate kids’ play zone that all 3 of my kids absolutely loved. Kids will enjoy multiple water play spray feature options including honey of a water bucket dump, twisting body slides, and a swirling body bowl slide that will be sure to keep the smiles and giggles coming! I loved this colorful bee-themed play had enough unique water attractions that all 3 of my kids could be on this same attraction at once and all be happy.

Hang 10essee Flowrider

Hang 10essee Flowrider is a double flowrider and a fun way to challenge yourself to stay up while riding waves.  Adults and kids will love trying to see if they can hang on the Hang 10essee Flowrider machine.

There are so many waterslides throughout the park for various age ranges.  No matter what your age, height or thrill-seeking levels there will be slides for you.

Slippery Salamanders inflatable water obstacle course

Slippery Salamanders inflatable water obstacle course Hands down a huge family hit.  My 8- and 6-year-old said this was their favorite part of the entire waterpark.  They loved racing each other head-first mat racing challenge for brother bragging rights.  Watching adults go through the inflatable water obstacle course was absolutely hilarious as a spectator and made my day.

Black Bear Rapids

Do not be fooled, at first glance it may look like a lazy river set up but its an adventure river. Waves will push you through the course pretty quickly so be ready.  We loved doing this as a family, hold on tight - the waves are NO JOKE!

Soaky Surge Wave Pool

Welcome to a massive 35,000 square foot wave pool capable of generating 6-foot tall waves!  Soaky Mountain is designed and laid out so well to maximize the square feet.

Coyote Springs

Coyote Spring is the perfect place to kick back and relax during your visit to Soaky Mountain. This is a great spot to go and get away from the slides and high action areas and close your eyes for some relaxation in comfy seating.

There are so many water slides that are great for independent children like american racer's rush, rainbow's revenge with fun saucer features and rainbow colors will be so much fun.

How long do you need at Soaky Mountain to see the whole water park?

We were able to ride and do everything in the water park in one day but your entire family would have fun returning multiple times in a season or going for more than one day.  We were exhausted after an entire day of water rides and massive slides!

What attractions at Soaky Mountain Waterpark are good for Younger Children and Preschoolers?

lil’ rattlers

My 3 year old loved these slides.  They are the perfect introduction to water slides for the littlest water lover.

Boomers Bay Adventure Pool

My 3-year-old and I hung out in Boomer Bay for HOURS!  He loved the water slides that were just his size, water play tables, and being able to relax in 18 inches of water.  I could see the entire area from any spot in Boomer Bay and it was a preschooler / toddler paradise water area!  With smaller versions of the adult-size slides, even younger children will get their slide racing desire met with plenty to do amongst bright colors of the rainbow.  Your little one will not want to leave.

Best Waterpark rides at Soaky Mountain for Teens and Adults?

What is the best age for Soaky Mountain Waterpark in TN?

ANY!  No matter your age or those with you, I can guarantee there is something they will love.  It was truly a great family destination and we all agreed that it had something for everyone to enjoy.  There is something for everyone at Soaky Mountain.

Tips for Families Traveling to Soaky Mountain Waterpark

  • Bring your own stroller, as they do not have them there.  It is a 50-acre amusement park and water park and there is a TON of walking.  We started at the very back of the water park when we arrived and worked our way back to the front so we didn’t have tired and complaining kids at the end of a long and fun day.

  • The concrete walkways were extremely hot during our visit since TN was experiencing an unprecedented heat wave.  If your child / family has water shoes I would definitely wear those to make it easier for everyone.

  • I always dress my children in bright swim shirts so I can identify them in a big crowd or while they are in line for rides.  Soaky Mountain waterpark can get busy, so for parents of small children this tip can be great for keeping them safe and finding them more easily.

  • There is ample seating everywhere you look at Soaky Mountain Waterpark.  I was also very impressed by the amount of shaded seating too.  If you have a bigger group or are traveling with children who will need a break while there, having a cabana could be a great option.  There are cabanas available around the outdoor water park to rent.  I also really like this option if you have older children that you feel safe allowing to navigate the park together without an adult you can designate the cabana as a meeting spot to come back to.

  • Soaky Mountain Waterpark provides life jackets for visitors, but you do need to bring your own towels with you.  If you forget anything, there are shops on premise at Soaky Mountain to grab bathing suits, towels, hats, sunglasses and so much more!

Is Soaky Mountain a good destination for adults only without kids?

Yes! Coyote Springs is perfect to relax, sit comfortably in the water, and enjoy the luxury Coyote Springs cabanas for some shade. I love the way Soaky Mountain waterpark is laid out too, so if you are a adult traveling without children then you could easily avoid going to the areas that are going to be more populated with younger, smaller visitors.

Are there Dining Options available at Soaky Mountain Waterpark?

The adults can enjoy adult beverages at the wipeout bar.  There are food trucks around the adventure park and novelty ice cream galore.  My children were super pleased with the hot dogs and fountain drinks from the beverage service cafeteria style which was great for families as everyone could find something they loved.  If you into sweet treats check out the yukon frozen yogurt and the soaky shake shoppe before you leave.  The fresh-squeezed lemonade was a personal favorite for me since it was really hot when we visited in July.

What are the ticket prices and cost for Soaky Mountain Waterpark?

You can purchase tickets online for Soaky Mountain Waterpark in TN for 47 dollars per person or buy at the gate for 49 per person.  Tickets for someone over the age of 60 is 39.99.  The one aspect of purchasing tickets online that I enjoy is that you can buy tickets online and they are valid anyday in the season.  There is a ticket discount for waiting and arriving closer to park close that could be a great option for those who have plans or need to accommodate nap times.  It’s a great way to still experience Soaky Mountain outdoor water park and save some money.  If you have daily passes you can also leave and come back which is a helpful option if you have small children.

Parking is not included in ticket price.  If you purchase parking online it is 13.75.  discounted daily admission ticket is available at times for Soaky Mountain. I would recommend signing up for emails and checking their social media pages for deals.

Tickets to Soaky Mountain Waterpark are included with stay at Wilderness at the Smokies for select dates and stays.  This is the best way for smokies guests to enjoy the Waterpark at no additional cost.

Soaky Mountain Season admission Passes

If you are local to Seiverville, TN or the surrounding areas or will be traveling to the area multiple times during the summer or staying for an extended period of time, I would HIGHLY recommend Soaky Mountain season passes.   The Soaky Mountain season pass option not only includes unlimited visits to Soaky Mountain outdoor waterpark and discounts on food as well.  You can also add on a parking pass to your Soaky Mountain season pass for 39.99 which is a great deal.  If you live close to Soaky Mountain I would recommend buying famiy members a Soaky Mountain season pass for them to enjoy all summer long!

season pass holders to Soaky Mountain Season admission passes will have the opportunity to bring a friend too for discounted rates.

Soaky Mountain Season Pass Holder Price

The cost of a  Soaky Mountain season pass is currently $119 and will pay for itself in 2 visits.  If you visit the area multiple times in the summer or live within driving distance, the Soaky Mountain Season Pass is 100% worth it in my opinion.

We had SO much fun at Soaky Mountain Water Park.  The attractions they have are perfect for a family or group with various ages of kids and everyone leaves happy.  I will most definitely be back to Soaky Mountain waterpark as soon as we come back to TN! Between the super fun kid activity pool area for younger children and the high-intensity body slides for older children and teens, there really is something for everyone.  It really was such a great mix of individual activities for each age range and also things we could all do together like the five-person raft rides.
